Morganton Becomes Debt-Free!
Posted on May 25, 2009

On May 16th the Morganton Seventh-day Adventist church had a mortgage burning event. While the average note for most churches takes 15 to 20 years to pay off, they paid it off in just a mere TWO years!
Pastor Tim Sheridan helped the members design their new facilities. This included a church, school, and community service center.
The Morganton Seventh-day Adventist Church has a rich history dating back to 1940. Since 1950 the Silver Creek Adventist School has provided quality education for its children and the church has been steadfast in reaching out to the community, stirring up passion through evangelism and Bible study. During1980s and 1990s Pastor Tony Cirigliano, was a strong and vital component in this area. Education and evangelism have remained a constant in encouraging the growth and faith of this church. This story reminds us to focus on the spiritual need of others and let God take care of the rest.
